Hello, today I have to make a blog about what we did and saw when the BLAKE foundation came to the science class with VRs.

A VR headseat (or Virtual Reality) is an item that you put on your head, and you will see a 3d, 360-degree angle of what you are viewing.

We were looking at the difference between a healthy ocean and an unhealthy ocean. The healthy ocean had nice, clear water with lots of fish and kelp. The unhealthy ocean had a tire, dirty, murky, and green water. It had no fish whatsoever.

Some parts of the ocean are called protected areas or marine reserves, which do not allow any human interference.

Today, I am going to share a question of my recent math worksheet in the Maths No Problem workbook, because that is what I was asked to do. Here is the question:

Amira bought 3 cartons of juice. Holly bought 1 carton of juice and 2 bottles of water. The total volume of the drinks Amira bought was 2.4l more than the total volume of drinks holly bought. If the volume of water in each bottle is o.6l, what is the volume of juice in each carton.

The answer I got was 1.85l, and I am pretty sure I am correct.

Today I have to answer 3 question

No.1: What instrument would I play?

I would most likely play keyboard because I can do many different sounds with it

No.2: What competition is interesting?

I think BandQuest is interesting because  even if you do not get 1st you can still get money in 2nd and 3rd place

No.3 What style of music would I do?

Just anything apart rock heavy metal.

Today I have been tasked to write a blog post about rounding and what I can do.

The first question is if it makes sense to round these up:

• 142 children attend a tournament, round to the nearest 100

I do not think that it should be rounded to the nearest 100 because people will think that only 100 children are coming but 142 children are actually going.

• A population of 2,387,562 people, round to the nearest 100,000

I think that it should be rounded because you can never be exact, the population is always changing.

• A salary of $34,321, round to the nearest 10,000

I think that instead of saying $30,000 dollars, you should say “A bit over $30,000”. So I say it depends.

Now the only questions asking what I can do is if I can:

1.  Read and write numbers to 10 Million
2. Tell the place value of a digit in a number
3. compare and order numbers up to 10 Million
4. Round numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000 ,10,000, 100,000, and 1,000,000.

I can read and write up to 10 million although it might take a while.

I can tell the place value in a number.

I can compare and order numbers up to 10 million.

I can round numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000 , 10,000, 100,000, and 1,000,000

So yes I can do all of that, and I answered the questions so I should be done.
